Bertie Casady

Bertie Mae Casady, 85, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013. She was a breast cancer survivor, and retired from Chicopee with over 40 years. She volunteered for the Red Cross, enjoyed yard work and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William "Bill" Casady; daughter, Theresa Crowder; four grandchildren, Brigitt Zurga and husband, Robert "Griff" Griffin, Blake Crowder and wife, Heather, JoAnna Hackley and husband, Shawn and Adam Crowder; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla Zurga, Buck Zurga, Hope Crowder, Haleigh Crowder, Joseph Hackley, Emma Hackley, Jaxon Crowder and Mazie Crowder. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Fronia White McCoy and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Red Cross or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bayou Meto Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
