Bessie Luetta Milam

Bessie Luetta Milam, 84, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away on June 19, 2024. She was born October 9, 1939, to Walter Nelson and Rhoda Fender in Walnut Grove, Missouri. She loved collecting dolls and going to yard sales.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gideon Milam; her infant son, Gideon Milam, Jr., great grandson, Damon Brockus, and sister Wanda Samuels.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Milam and Wilma Wilson, her children, Joe (Cindy) Brockus, Rhoda Burnett, Dewey Milam and Lela (William) Burnett; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Apple Hill Cemetery.
