Betty Haskew Page French, 84, of Little Rock, passed away April 7, 2011. Born in Drew County, Arkansas to Alvin and Leone Pierce Haskew, she graduated from Drew Central High School in 1945, the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1948 and received her Masters of Education in 1967 from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She taught elementary school for 38 years, 32 of those years in the Little Rock School District. Mrs. French was a member of Winfield United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, James R. Page and brother, Ralph C. Haskew, she is survived by her husband, Carl J. French; sons, James A. Page and wife, Brenda, Robert L. Page and Richard E. Page and wife, Pamela; six grandchildren, Jim and Brent Page, Thomas and Elizabeth Page, and Sam and Kyle Page; great-grandson, Zachary Page; stepdaughters, Carla Rea Bohannon (Richard) and Gail Sue French; granddaughter, Heather Conway (Bobby) and two great-grandchildren, Haley and Dawson Conway.
Visitation will be Monday, April 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, officiated by Rev. Larry Hughes.
