Betty Kempf

Betty Kempf, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and was a Registered Nurse. She was an active member of Park Hill, Dardenne and Kirk of The Pines Presbyterian Churches. She was a Stephen minister, in the Shepherd's Group and volunteered for numerous organizations and loved helping people. Betty helped the Community of Scott, Arkansas by bringing toys to children and food to families.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Kempf (Lois) of Lake Sherwood, Missouri; daughter, Janice Chmielewski (John) of North Little Rock; son, Stanley Kempf (Sharon) of Summerville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Gordon Kempf; daughter, Linda Bennett; son, Jerrold Kempf and grandson, Adam Kempf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Hospice, 11900 Colonel Glenn Road, Ste. 2000, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210 or Arkansas Chapter of Parkinson's APDA, P.O. Box 22445, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71903.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Park Hill Presbyterian Church followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. There will be a second service in her former hometown at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Kirk of the Pines Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs Village.
