Betty Jean Magness, 81, of Cabot, Arkansas, died Monday, January 5, 2009. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, and was.retired from Maybelline.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Magness; one son, Jerry Magness; and two brothers, Bill and George Eagle.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Shirley Welch and husband Ken of Little Rock, Pam Murphy and husband Ken of Cabot; five grandchildren, Jeremy Murphy, Tonya Hefley, Heather Graves, Thomas Murphy and Nicholas Welch; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rebecca Wilson of Cabot, Doris Shelton of Greers Ferry and Rose Taylor of Lonoke.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, with burial in Hicks Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Tina Minnin, #5 Cedar Hill Rd., Cabot, AR 72023.
