Betty May

Betty Jo May of Arkadelphia transitioned from this phase of eternity to the next on Friday, December 20, 2019. Betty was a lifelong resident of Clark county and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (Dock) May; her parents, Pat and Kate McElhannon of Okolona; two brothers, Ross (Perch) McElhannon and Hugh McElhannon; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Cox.

Betty is survived by her children, Kathy Cox and husband, Larry of Arkadelphia, Jimmy May and wife, Gay of Conway; one sister, Linda Killingsworth and husband, Bill of Benton; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Betty was loved very much by her friends and family who will dearly miss her sweet spirit and the way she selflessly gave to her family.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 23 rd at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, two miles west of Arkadelphia on Highway 8. Bro. Charlie Williams will officiate. Arrangements by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Everyone is invited to the services. Visitation will be prior to service at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Cox, Kelly McElhannon, Donny Garrett, Larry White, Fred Owens and James Dillard.

Memorials may be made to Clark County Humane Society 627 Walnut St. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
