Betty June Tippett, 82, of Benton, AR, passed away on December 18, 2025. Born July 4, 1943, in Alton, she lived a life defined by independence, determination, and a deep devotion to her family, leaving behind memories that will be carried forward by all who knew and loved her.
Betty was a true firecracker in every sense of the word. Strong-willed, outspoken, and full of energy, she approached life with confidence and a “method to her madness” that made her both memorable and effective in everything she did. Her independence came naturally, fitting for someone born on the Fourth of July, and she never hesitated to stand her ground or speak her mind. Those closest to her knew that beneath her tough exterior was a fierce loyalty and love for her family.
As a mother and grandmother, Betty believed in discipline, structure, and accountability. She held high expectations and worked hard to instill strong morals and values in her children and grandchildren. While she was firm, her guidance came from a place of care and responsibility, and the lessons she taught will continue to shape her family for generations.
Betty spent many years as a faithful and hardworking employee of Walmart, where she was willing to do whatever was needed: whether working the cash register, stocking shelves, or helping wherever she was asked. Later, she continued her career with Walmart and Sam’s Club as a product demonstrator, a role she truly enjoyed. She took pride in her work, loved interacting with people, and had a natural way of engaging customers as she explained products and offered samples. Her dedication and strong work ethic were evident throughout her many years of service.
In her free time, Betty found comfort and enjoyment in simple pleasures. She loved cooking, working puzzles, and relaxing with coloring books. She was an avid fan of QVC and took delight in discovering new products. Betty also had a deep appreciation for nature, especially hummingbirds, which she faithfully fed and watched with joy. A devoted dog lover, she shared a special bond with her pets Bella and Kai, and she is now reunited with her beloved companions who preceded her: Patches, Chi Chi, and Angel.
Betty is survived by her husband of 30 years, William Tippett; her daughters, Gail Blundell and Patricia (Brandon) Lane; grandchildren Michael McCormick, Sarah Davis, Dalton Blundell, and Matt Davis; great-grandchildren Piper Jade Blundell and D-Nola McCormick; her brother, Paul (Judy) London; and her sister, Helen Henson (Lloyd) London.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy H. Jones and Anna May Fisher, and by her son, Donald Steven Davis.
A Visitation Celebration to honor Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Baptist Critical Care Unit and Saline Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support. A special thank you is also offered to Brittany Gay for her kindness, dedication, and comfort during this difficult time. Your care and professionalism meant more to the family than words can express.
Betty’s presence was strong, her love unmistakable, and her impact lasting. She will be remembered for her grit, her humor, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed.
