Betty Kay (Williams) Cheney

Betty Kay (Williams) Cheney, age 66 of Abilene, Texas, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2026. Betty was born on December 3, 1959, in Cabot, Arkansas to Milton and Lucille Williams.

Betty was a pharmacist for 45 years, which she knew at an early age, that’s what she wanted to do. She was a member of Texas Avenue Baptist Church in Abilene. Betty loved music, plants, rock and fossil hunting and she was very artistic.

She is survived by her husband Nelson Cheney of Abilene; three sons Nathan, Patrick, and Joseph Cheney; one stepdaughter Jessica Cheney; two grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; brother James Williams, and one sister JoAnn Koehler.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Lucille Williams.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry Drive, Cabot, Arkansas. Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook with burial at Salem Cemetery.
