Beverly Ann Russom Clary, 73, of Little Rock died July 9, 2012. She was born September 17, 1938 in Little Rock and was raised in Carlisle, AR by her parents the late Robert Lee Russom and Hallibess Russom. She was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Russom.
Beverly graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. At 22 years of age with great love in her heart and dreams that she could make the world a better place, she became the first Arkansas Peace Corps Nurse which took her to Tanzania, Africa for 2 years. After her time in the Peace Corps, she traveled with her profession throughout the United States forging lifelong friendships with many wonderful people. During her time in Houston, TX she met and married Dr. Curt Clary who preceded her in death. She enjoyed traveling, writing, and Razorback Football.
Beverly retired from UAMS in Little Rock after a long career spent as a passionate nurse who took much pride in her care for patients.
She spent her last days surrounded by close friends and her constant companions, Benson Hedge and Cuba Libre.
Cremation arrangements are by North Little Rock Funeral Home.
We are thankful for her devoted caregivers and the support from Hospice Home Care. There will be a gathering of friends to honor Beverly's life.
