Beverly Fortson (Yoder)

Beverly Fortson (Yoder), 82, of Little Rock passed away December 3, 2022 with her family and friends by her side. She was a cheerful, patient mother and friend who was always a shining example of Christ’s love and forgiveness. She faithfully served her community as a hairstylist for well over 50 years and was passionate about gardening, loved cooking, enjoyed loving on her family and friends, and was a devoted member of Parkway Place Baptist Church.

Beverly is survived by her 4 children and spouses: Gene Ground, Jr.; Chuck Payne (Betty); Alicia Sorrows (Jay); Becky Wadley (Glynn); her 4 siblings; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her beloved parents, Stan and Ruth Yoder of Little Rock, her dear brothers-in-law, and one granddaughter.

Family will receive visitors on Thursday December 8, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205. Funeral service will be held at Parkway Place Baptist Church in Little Rock on Friday at 1:30pm.
