Beverly Ann Hawthorn, born on July 25, 1948, in Hot Springs, Ar. passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026. Beverly's life was a tapestry of dedication and passion, enriching not only her beloved Hot Springs but also the lives of many she touched throughout her diverse career. She is predeceased by her father, Clarence Kight; mother, Laverne (Tedder) Kight; brother, Wayne Kight; son, Timothy Hawthorn; grandson, Caleb Hawthorn; and brother-in-law, James Matthews.

Throughout her professional journey, Beverly lent her talents to various roles, including her impactful tenure as the Director of the Hot Springs Tourism Department for twelve years and her commitment to the Area Agency on Aging for eight years. Her early career included valuable experiences as a Preschool Director, and she held positions in both the Timber Industry and Banking. Beverly’s professional accomplishments reflect her versatility and unwavering work ethic, qualities she was proud to embody.

Her devotion extended beyond her career into her community involvement, where she thrived as a member of several organizations. Beverly was actively engaged in the Dallas County Cattlemen's Association, the EH Club, and served on the Board of Directors for both the Arkansas Rivervalley Tourism Committee and the Scenic 7 Byway. She also dedicated herself to the Rolling H Hunting Club and served as Secretary and Treasurer for Manning Baptist Church. Her commitment to service was further exemplified through her participation in the Sisterhood, showcasing her heartfelt dedication to her community and faith.

On October 11, 1967, Beverly married Gilbert, the love of her life, a partnership that was the foundation of her joy and strength. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with shared dreams and cherished moments. Beverly was known for her warm spirit, evident in her love for singing and her fondness for flowers and babies of all kinds—from her grandbabies to baby animals. Her nurturing nature made her a beloved figure among family and friends.

Beverly's survivors include her husband, Gilbert Hawthorn; sons, Jared (Darah) Hawthorn, and Justin (Jessica) Hawthorn; daughters, Jennifer (Terry) Rowton, Tina (David) Murphy; daughter in law, Tonja Hawthorn; sister, Jan Matthews; In-laws, Dan (Joyce) Hawthorn, J.D. (Charlene) Hawthorn, Grady (Sally) Hawthorn, and Grace Koller; grandchildren, Kord (Lynzie) Dwello, Jonathan Hawthorn, Shena (Nathan) Sanders, Ethan Sutton, Eli Rowton, Sierra Rowton, Hope (Christopher) McDaniel, Emily (Conrad) Crouch, Hayes Murphy, Ella Murphy, Jalea Hawthorn, Jadan Hawthorn, Clark Hawthorn, Colt Hawthorn, Caylee Hawthorn; great- grandchildren, Rylea Dwello, Kayson Dwello, Emery Dwello, Hunter Sanders, Axel Sanders, and Elizabeth McDaniel arriving in May.

Visitation for Beverly Ann Hawthorn will be held on February 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home located at 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas. A funeral service to honor her remarkable life will take place on February 20, 2026, with another visitation at 10:00 AM and service to follow at 11:00 AM at Manning Baptist Church in 5913 West highway 8 Manning, Arkansas. Interment will be held at DeLamar cemetery in Manning, Ar.

Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons; honorary pallbearers include, Carl Hawthorn, and Michael Hawthorn.

Beverly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, community spirit, and unwavering support for her loved ones. She will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who crossed her path.
