Beverly Ann McCay

Beverly Ann McCay, 71, passed from this life on February 28, 2023. She was born on October
11, 1951, to Eunice Adeline Wise and the late Clyde Emory Wise in Milledgeville, Georgia.
She was known throughout her life for her kindness, quick-wit, and empathy for others. Beverly
was a member of the Beebe High School class of 1969, graduating with honors as valedictorian.
She attended Arkansas State University-Beebe and graduated from Arkansas State
University-Jonesboro, earning a B.S. in Accounting and was named Student of Special
Distinction. Beverly was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Government
Financial Manager (CGFM). After spending the majority of her accounting career at the
Department of Human Services and the Public Service Commision, she retired after 30 years of
dedication to the state and its people.
Beverly was a firm believer in serving her community. After retirement, she served on the
Sherwood Wastewater Utility Commission and dedicated countless hours to the Free Little
Pantry Program and Sherwood Citizens Police Alumni Association.
She was baptized in 1972 at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and
attended Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Wise; maternal grandparents, Herbert and
Cecilia Trost; paternal grandmother, Lillie Wise; and a host of cherished aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
She is survived by her mother, Eunice Wise of Beebe; sister, Kaye (Joe) Finley of Beebe; nieces
Madison (David) Campbell and Melanie (Jordan) Fulmer of Beebe; as well as numerous cousins,
extended family members, and dear friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Arkansas Hospice for their support, care, and
kindness towards Beverly and the family over the last month.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 am at Smith Westbrook Funeral
Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, AR 72012 . Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am at the same location, followed by
interment at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe.
In appreciation of their services, donations can be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation at 14
Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116 in memory of Beverly.
