Beverly Noble

Beverly M. Noble was born Dec. 25, 1926 in Broken Bow, Nebraska. She passed away on October 13, 2024 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband Derald “Bud” Noble; daughter Connie Beth Noble Wells; parents Clyde and Erma Wachter; sister Shirley Sargent; and two brothers Pete and Mike Wachter.

Bev graduated from the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska as an RN. She was a lifelong Methodist and was a very active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska for 62 years until she moved to Little Rock in 2016 where she became a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Bev believed in serving the church and people in need. For 40+ years, Bev and her friend Helen, served meals for nearly all church funerals and social functions. She served on several church leadership committees and was a volunteer Director of CUMC’s Preschool from its inception for nearly 20 years. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother, and a volunteer School Nurse for the Lincoln Public schools.

Huskers and Royals! Bev was a sports fanatic, loving her Nebraska Cornhusker football team. She had season tickets during the heyday of Nebraska National Championship football and attended games until age 85! Yearly, Bev, Bud and friends traveled to a Nebraska away game. She also was an avid baseball fan and adopted the Kansas City Royals as her team upon their inception - listening to most of their games on TV or on her transistor radio.

Fun loving, outgoing and positive was a description of Bev for most of her life. Her granddaughters gave her the name of Crazy Granny Bev in the email account they set up for her.

Family was a source of great joy for her, especially her two granddaughters and her four great grandchildren. She is survived by son Scott Noble(Mary); granddaughter Amber Noble Hof(Joe) from Little Rock, Arkansas; granddaughter Ashley Noble Luft (Nick) from Marietta, Georgia; and four adoring great grandchildren – Rachel, Nathan and Hannah Hof and Stella Luft.
