Beverly Ann (Smith) Groves

Beverly Ann (Smith) Groves, born August 13, 1961, passed away on September 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, James Smith. 

Beverly will be remembered as a woman of caring nature who was deeply committed to others and who lived life on her own terms. She built her life around service, compassion, and devotion to those in need, especially older adults. A registered nurse, she dedicated her nursing career to geriatric medicine, where her special passion for caring for seniors was evident in the work she did each day. At the time of her disability, she was working at The Blossoms Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her calling to nursing was supported by her education, having earned an associate degree from National Park Community College.

Her faith was also an important part of her life. Beverly was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Hot Springs. Outside of her work and church life, she loved the beach, a simple joy that reflected her spirit and the things that brought her peace and happiness.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Mae Smith; her daughter, Kathryn Mae Groves; her sister, Donna Merriweather; her brother, Richie Smith; and her nephews, Ty Merriweather and Nicholas Merriweather. May her memory bring comfort to her family and friends and remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on September 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home - Hot Springs, 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913. A funeral service will follow from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the same location.
