Beverly Wade

Beverly Jean Wade (Woods) was Born January 26, 1946, and died March 5, 2024.

Beverly Jean Wade was born to Norma and John Woods. She grew up in Hayward, California with her two sisters Linda and Loretta. At the time of her passing, she lived with her son Solon and his family in Arkansas where she bravely battled cancer. Though she lost her battle to cancer, she proudly lived to see her 78th birthday.

Beverly was the mother to four children: Michael, Sheila, Solon and Dominique. She made sure her children were never scared, hungry, or cold. All her children loved her deeply and were grateful that she was their mother.

She also became the grandmother to nine grandchildren. She enriched their lives with her dynamic personality and non-traditional way of seeing the world.

One of her unique values was that she put the needs of others first and she strove to help others achieve their goals and dreams. Doing so gave her a deep sense of purpose and enriched her life to the fullest.

One of the most meaningful things for her family was her passion for cooking. Fond of many foods, she held close to traditional family favorites but also crafted unique recipes which she has passed on to her children.

Throughout her life, she was an avid collector of many things, especially rocks. She was always looking for the perfect, round rock. She enjoyed live music, dancing, and trivia. She especially loved her animals, of which she had very many in her life.

In 1975 she married Bill Wade. The two remained friends until her passing.

Preceding her in death were her daughter, Dominique; her mother, Norma; her nephew, Brandon; her sister, Loretta; her grandson, Joshua; and her tabby cat Honey. She has now joined them in Heaven.

Beverly Wade was a unique individual and left a lasting impression on everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her.

In 2023, Beverly visited the Gulf of Mexico and loved it. She decided that in lieu of a burial, she wanted her ashes cast across the waves.

Beverly's advice to everyone: Pursue your dreams but enjoy the small things in life and don't forget to stop and smell the roses along the way. She will be deeply missed.
