Bill Conatser Sr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at the age of 98 after a brief illness. Born on May 9, 1927, Bill lived a life filled with purpose, faith, and craftsmanship. His passion for woodworking paralleled his deep devotion to his faith. Bill lived in many places during his life

Bill honorably served in the Navy during World War II, embodying the spirit of service and sacrifice. Throughout his lifetime, he resided in various places, yet his commitment to family and faith remained a constant anchor; he was always was a devout member of the Church of the Nazarene, and is currently a member of the Journey Church in Hot Springs. His love for his savior, Jesus Christ, shone through in every interaction, reflecting a life richly lived in faith and community.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Lavender Conatser, alongside his children, Billy Jr. and Angela Conatser; Sandy and Marc Phippn; Becky and Larry Kinyon; grandchildren, Derrick Conatser, TJ Beard, Tiffany Lucero, Ashton Beard, Kelly Buck, and Kristin Buck; and survived by Geraldine's children, Steve Lavender and his spouse, LaDonna Harvey, and Vicki Lavender and her spouse, along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved late wife, Virgie Lee Ward Conatser "Mickey," of 59 years; his daughter, Kate Buck; his mother, Nora Carr Conatser, and father, Milo Conatser. He was the youngest of ten siblings, having survived each of his nine brothers and sisters.

Friends and family are invited to honor Bill's life and legacy at the visitation and funeral service to be held on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Bill will then be interred at Pinecrest Cemetery in Mena, Arkansas, following a service at 3:00 PM.

As we remember Bill Conatser Sr., we are reminded of the significant impact he made in the lives of those around him, as a craftsman, a veteran, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a devout follower of Christ. His memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of many, as they carry forward the lessons of love, faith, and dedication that he imparted throughout his remarkable life.

Pallbearers will be: Zack Paine, Derrick Conatser, T.J. Beard, Marc Phippen, Brandon Lucero, Travis Lanier, Aric Diehl, and Jake Lanier.
