Bill Holt

Billie Joe "Bill" Holt, 85, of McRae, Arkansas, was born April 7, 1927, at McRae, to Shirl and Opal (Bowman) Holt, and he went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 30, 2012. For many years he was known throughout White County for the beautiful strawberries he grew. He was a former member of the McRae School Board and a Justice of the Peace for White County. He was a member and Deacon of McRae First Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Shirley Holt; two daughters, Billie Joe Ann Hogan (Tim) of McRae, Christy Lee Ann Taylor (Scott) of Rose Bud; two grandsons, Anthony Hogan and Brady Joe Taylor; and one sister, Wanda Tidwell (Neil) of McRae.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Donnell Rogers, Anna Holt; and grandparents George and Nellie Bowman and Enoch Holt.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at McRae First Baptist Church, with burial in Lebanon Cemetery.
