Bill Wood

Bill Wood, 54, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 25th. Mr. Wood is preceded in death by his parents, Ophelia and Horace Wood of Jonesboro. He is survived by two children, Elizabeth and Brian; a step-son Trey Davis; three brothers Jack Wood and wife Norma of Gainesville, Florida, Ronnie Wood of Palm Springs, California, and Randy Wood and wife Sherry of Memphis, Tennessee; and a sister Donna Wood of Littleton, Colorado.
Bill was a loving father and brother. He greatly loved and enjoyed his children, his family, his work, and Razorback sports. He was a graduate of Nettleton High School and ASU Jonesboro. Bill was also a successful businessman as part owner of two Mazzio's Pizza restaurants in Beebe and Wynne with his long time business partners Ron and Joy Tapley.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Beebe First United Methodist Church, with cremation to follow. Because of Bill's love and support of Badger athletics, his family requests memorials be made to Turf Project, Beebe Public Schools, 1201 W. Center, Beebe, AR 72012.
