Billie Healy

Billie Jean Healy, 89, of Maumelle passed away peacefully Saturday morning in Little Rock after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Billie lived a full life as a wife for the better part of 60 years, mother for 54 years, and grandmother of 26 years-her crowning achievements.

Billie was born November 13, 1930 in Independence County, Arkansas. Later, after graduating Batesville High School she joined Southwestern Bell where she worked for 12 years. She wedded Loyd D. Healy, Jr. on May 13, 1960. She fervently enjoyed providing and protecting her child and grandchildren while living a beautiful Christian life. Her commitment to always doing the right thing was unquestionable as well as her devotion to following the Lord’s teachings in simplest form. Many kind acts were received from those who knew her. She always had encouraging words as well as careful advice for which many were thankful.

She is survived by her husband, Loyd D. Healy, Jr. of Maumelle; son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Linda Healy of Maumelle; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Andrew Healy and Victoria Healy of Sherwood; grandson, Sean Healy of Groton, Connecticut and her beloved sister, Kathleen Cuccia of Maumelle/Batesville.
