Listen to Obituary

Billie Jane Graham Jennings, 81, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on October 27, 2026. She was born on November 22, 1944, to Willie L. “Bill” Graham and Ida Jane Dillow Graham and grew up in Roanoke, Virginia.

A member of Jefferson High School’s Class of 1963, Billie went on to study nursing at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Her nursing work took her aboard the hospital ship S.S. HOPE in the Mediterranean. While working in Tunisia, she met Walter “Bill” Thomas Jennings, Jr., who was visiting on leave from his Army assignment in Germany. They would go on to share 49 years of marriage, making their home in Arkansas and spending part of their married life together in China. Billie’s Christian faith was an important part of her life. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, where she was active in her Sunday school class and volunteered at the church’s food pantry. Her work at the pantry gave her another opportunity to care for others and put her faith into practice.

Billie was very proud of her children Bryan and Briana and made their education a priority, doing all she could to help them succeed and thrive in life. She was deeply devoted to her family, especially her five grandchildren. Zachary, Lane, Cody, Dixie, and Elva held a special place in her heart. She loved them wholeheartedly and would do anything for them. Her devotion to them was a defining part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Walter “Bill” Thomas Jennings, Jr., who passed away on October 2, 2019.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Jennings, and his wife, Janna Jennings; her daughter, Briana Jennings, and her husband, Antolin Diez; her five grandchildren, Zachary Jennings, Lane Jennings, Cody Diez, Dixie Diez, and Elva Diez; and her brothers, Bob Graham and his wife, Vicki Graham, and Dan Clark.
