Billy Roy Duke, age 80, of Arkadelphia passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at his home. He was born July 23, 1932 in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Roy and Inez Lee Duke. Billy was retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service, then was employed at Hoosemann Body Shop, Henderson State University and Baptist Medical Center all in Arkadelphia. He was a member at Degray Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Phillips and Darlene Johnson.
Survivors are his wife of over fifty-six years, Jean Buck Duke; three children, Mark Duke and wife, Patricia of Dallas, Texas, Jim Duke and wife, Letha, Lisa Young and husband, David all of Arkadelphia; one sister, Helen Wilson of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 29th at Degray Baptist Church with Brother David Young and Dr. John Small officiating. Burial will be in Degray Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Bud Hipps, Bill Hipps, Carley Bledsoe Jr., James Hendrix, Jonathan Duke, Wesley Duke and Cody Young.
