The family of Billy Frank Calvert would like to thank you for honoring his memory by your presence here today.
He was born September 3, 1936 in England, Arkansas to the late James A. Calvert and Mary Ophelia Jean Calvert.
Bill attended and graduated from England High School in 1954. He began his medical career as a Navy Coreman and furthered his education by becoming a registered nurse. He was a CCICU nurse at St. Vincentâs Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, until he retired in 2012. He then went on to work at Hospice in House Care in Little Rock, Arkansas, from 2013 to 2015. In his spare time, he worked on restoring a historic home that he resided in with his wife, Cheryl, until 2015 when they moved to Conway. He was a member of Central Baptist Church as well. One of his favorite things to do was drive to Conway to take his granddaughter, Sarah Grace, to dance class every Thursday night. His goal in life was to make a difference in the lives of others and remind everyone he met that they are âworth it.â
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Steven Maurice Calvert, and a brother, Eddie Calvert. He was survived by wife, Cheryl Calvert, son, Bill (Carol) Oldridge in Sherwood, daughter, Libby (Wade) McNew in North Little Rock, daughter Sherry (Paul) Grimaldi in Buffalo, New York, and daughter, Dana (Jason) Adams in Conway, as well as a brother, Fletcher (Kay) Calvert and a sister-in-law Wanda Calvert in Little Rock.
