Billy Gene “Sweet Willy” Williams, 91, went to his Heavenly home on September 1, 2026. He was born on December 4, 1934, in Swifton, Arkansas to Johnnie and Myrtle Williams. He was the last of his siblings to go to Heaven.
He loved to sing. He attended church regularly and even loved doing Bible study in the nursing home. Billy worked construction his whole life until he was in his 70’s.
He never met a stranger and was famous for rolling around the nursing home hallways in his wheelchair and singing hymns.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 43 years, Thelma Williams, his grandson William Snyder, and his twelve siblings.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Gaydos and Katie (Lee) Jackson; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Beebe Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
