Billy D. Tedford, 73, of Austin, Arkansas, died Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was retired from the mobile home industry, having worked in purchasing and inventory control.
In his early years he sang bass with the Travelers Quartet and later, professionally with the Melody Boys Quartet. He loved quartet singing!
He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Trudean Tipton Tedford; one son, Todd and wife Tammie of Austin; three daughters, Lisa Chumbley and husband Shawn of Judsonia, Crystal Fouse and husband Haskell of Hickory Plains and Tracy Tedford of Austin; nine grandchildren, Candace Skarda, Elecia Krug, Jarred Moss, Joshua Moss, Larkin Fouse, Laura Fouse, Phillip Tedford, Darren Tedford, Jenny Soderman; four step-grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Jonathan and Dylan Chumbley; three great-grandchildren, Calleigh and Camp Skarda and Lainey Grace Krug; and one brother, Bobby Tedford of Jonesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyne and Oreca Tedford.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Bethlehem Methodist Church, with burial in Salem Cemetery.
