Billy Wayne Bean

Listen to Obituary

Billy Wayne Bean, age 53, of Floyd, passed on at his home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School in 1986 where he was an All-American football player.  Billy was an employee of Arkansas Electric for 22 years and that’s where he met the love of his life. Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, playing video games, and listening to music but mostly he loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed passing on his knowledge and experiences with the outdoors to his grandchildren and he loved collecting coins, guns, and fishing gear.

Billy is preceded in death by his brother, Brian Keith Bean; grandparents, Junior and Joy Bean, and Bill and Willie Jordan. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Carlia Bean; his parents, Dennis and Betty Bean; his siblings, Brandon (wife Heather) and Crissy Bean; his daughter Kimberly Matthews (husband Jack); his 4 grandchildren, Layla, Mackenzie, Ariya, and Jaxon, and 6 nieces and nephews, Justin, Skyler, Ali, Jake, Tori, and Heath. He also met numerous friends throughout his life whom he cherished.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by CARTI and Arkansas Hospice. If desired, family and friends may make contributions to CARTI Cancer Center, 8901 CARTI Way, Little Rock, AR 72205.

A Visitation Tribute to celebrate his Life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29th at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe (404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr.).
