Birdie Bernice Allison, a devoted homemaker and mother, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at Southern Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on September 22, 1935, in Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas, to German and Opan (Manis) Brown. Birdie's life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family and her steadfast faith, as she embraced her role not only as a mother but as an active member of her community.

Birdie spent her life nurturing those around her, creating a warm and loving home. Known for her dedication, she was highly regarded as a devoted wife, having shared 67 wonderful years with her loving husband, George "G.L." Allison. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes sons Eugene Allison and his wife Evelyn, and Randall Allison. Birdie's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Brittany Walker and her husband Chris, Brooke Flewelling and her husband Silas, Marty Allison, and Matthew Allison. She also cherished her role as a great-grandmother to Bryleigh Walker, Isabel Walker, Rosemary Flewelling, Blake Allison, and Cassidy Allison, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Birdie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Russell Brown, Tommy Brown, and Paul Brown. Despite this loss, her spirit remained vibrant and full of life, reflected in the many cherished memories she created with her loved ones. She looked forward to the annual family reunions held in Pocahontas, where laughter and connection filled the air, reminding all how dearly she valued her family's togetherness.

Birdie attended Ironton Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending the Ladies Sunday School class and participating in their social gatherings, where she formed lasting friendships. She was known for her faithful readings of the Bible, instilling her deep love for scripture in her family and friends.

Birdie had a passion for research; she often spent time working on her family tree, delving into her ancestry with keen interest. In addition to this hobby, she found joy in tending to her yard, completing puzzles, and watching movies—a testament to her appreciation for both the beauty in nature and the comfort of stories.

Her graveside service will be held on July 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Ironton Cemetery located at 14718 Ironton Cut-Off Rd, Little Rock, AR 72206. The service will be a time for family and friends to honor and celebrate Birdie's remarkable life and the love she imparted to all who knew her.

Birdie Bernice Allison leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
