In Loving Memory of Blake Patrick Bearden November 7, 1971 – July 21, 2025
If you knew Blake Bearden, you were probably laughing, either because of something he said, something he did, or just the way he made you feel like you’d been friends forever. On July 21st, 2025, we said goodbye to Blake, who passed away after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Though his time with us was cut short, he packed his life with love and laughter.
Blake was a man who loved deeply and lived fully. He was never happier than when he was out on the water, fishing at Old River Lake, sitting in a deer stand, or cruising to somewhere sunny. The beach was one of his favorite places, but let’s be honest, he would’ve gone just about anywhere if it meant a good time and time with the people he loved.
Blake never met a stranger. If you sat next to him for more than thirty seconds, chances are you were getting a joke, a story, or an offer to help fix something. He was the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. His sense of humor was unmatched, and even in his sickest moments, he managed to keep the hospital staff laughing. That was Blake: always finding light, even when things got hard.
What we’ll remember most is his heart. It was big, generous, and tender. He loved his family fiercely, especially his boys, who were the pride of his life. He was always there when you needed a hand, a laugh, or just someone who could listen and make things feel a little better.
We’ll miss his laugh, his kindness, and his unstoppable positive spirit. But we’ll carry those things with us, because Blake wouldn’t want us to do it any other way.
Here’s to the man who always brought the good times. Rest easy, Blake. See you in Paradise.
Blake is preceded in death by his beloved brother, Kevin. He is survived by his lifelong love, Robin, his sons, Jordan and Jonathan, who stood by his side through everything, his loving parents, Pat and Susie Bearden, his devoted brother, Bryan Bearden (Casey), his mother-in-law, Carol Avery, brother-in-law, Phil Avery (Annette), along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
