Blake Anthony Blaylock, 35, of Dallas, TX, finished his race Friday November 7, 2025, surrounded by family and uplifted in prayer. Blake was a faithful follower of Jesus and is rejoicing in his healed body in heaven.
Blake was born January 4, 1990, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Pat and Karen Blaylock. He graduated from Conway High School in 2008 and from the University of Central Arkansas in 2013 with his Bachelor's degree where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. In 2018 he received his Master’s degree from Arkansas Tech University.
Blake worked at ABF Freight for 14 years holding many positions. His last position was Load Compliance Manager based in Dallas. Blake excelled in this position and in 2025 was presented a challenge coin, his department's highest honor.
A natural athlete, Blake excelled at sports growing up and later relished playing Rugby with his clubs in Little Rock, Austin and Dallas. Blake was a self-taught guitarist and music connoisseur, the more obscure the band, the better. He also was a talented artist and would draw cartoons for his family. Blake loved spending time with family and friends, being on the lake, a big bowl of ice cream and embodied the lifestyle, “just keep livin”.
Blake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mabrey Blaylock, Mary Ruth Blaylock and Fred Nunnally, and uncle Michael Blaylock. He is survived by his parents, Pat and Karen Blaylock, his grandma, Virginia S. Nunnally, brothers Grant and Reid and their wives Lenzie and Jaclyn as well as his nephews, Mabrey and Beau and his niece Jennings.
He also leaves behind family Janet Blaylock, Dr. Kent and Karen Nunnally, cousins Matt Blaylock and wife Shelly, Katie Marsico and husband Travis, Michael Nunnally and wife Lexie, Katelyn Nunnally, Matthew Nunnally and wife Angelica, Madison and Molly Kate Blaylock, Hannah and Janson Marsico, and Abby Nunnally.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Conway’s First Baptist Church. Blake’s celebration of life will take place at Conway’s First Baptist Church on Monday, November 17, at 1 p.m. with viewing one hour before the service. Services are entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association (ALS.org).
