Many years ago, in the city of Sherrill, Arkansas, there was a beautiful little girl born to Henry and Laura Lusk Majors named Blondale, often called "Dale." In her early years, the family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she attended Little Rock Public Schools. As a young lady, she joined Arch Street Baptist Church where she was baptized.
As she grew into young adulthood, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she met and married James Dupree on February 21, 1967. No children were born unto this union. While in Cleveland, she united with Elizabeth Baptist Church under the late Rev. Fred Hall. She worked in several ministries until she relocated back to Little Rock to care for her parents. She reunited with Archview Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. M. Williams where she worked faithfully until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Susie Woodson Sunday School Class, Missionary Society and the Business and Professional Ministry.
She departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dupree, her brother, Floyd Majors, Sr. and her parents. She leaves to cherish and honor her life one brother, Leo Leonard Majors, Sr.; nieces, Marsha, Elizabeth and Janice; nephews, Michael Floyd and Leon Majors, Jr., all of Little Rock; James Dupree of Memphis, Tennessee and James Dupree of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also surviving are her special sisters, Elsie Black, Allean Henderson, Marguerite Bowman, Allean Jones, Edna Gibson, Aretha Johnson, the Grigsby Sisters, all of her BFFs, and special brother, Deacon Lloyd Black.
