Bob (Robert) Lewis Jr.

Robert Lewis Jr., affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born on May 17, 1946, in Danville, Kentucky, Bob’s life was marked by dedication—to his family, his passions, and his entrepreneurial spirit.

Bob was a proud high school graduate who furthered his education with two years at junior college. Throughout his career, he was a driven entrepreneur and business owner, contributing his talents and determination to building a successful professional life. Yet, beyond his work, Bob’s heart was profoundly centered on his family and the simple joys that enriched their lives.

Married to his beloved wife, Lynda, on June 18, 1966, Bob cherished nearly six decades of shared adventures and unwavering partnership. Their nearly 60 years of marriage stood as one of his proudest achievements—a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they raised a close-knit family, nurturing strong bonds filled with love and support.

Bob’s deep affection extended warmly to his children and grandchildren, whom he treasured above all else. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lynda Lewis; son, Michael Lewis of Rockford, Illinois; daughter, Shannon Siddall, and son-in-law, Jim Siddall of Pearcy, Arkansas; and sister, Melinda Snyder. His grandchildren—Layne Lewis of Hollis, Arkansas; Beau Collins of Lamar, Arkansas; Shelbie Collins of Pearcy, Arkansas; and Alisiah Lewis of Glenwood, Arkansas—were the light of his later years, filling his life with joy and pride. He was also surrounded by a loving community of extended family members who remember him fondly.

Bob experienced the profound sorrow of losing his son, David W. Lewis, with whom he shared many cherished moments, including a mutual passion for NASCAR and football. His memories with David are threads woven deeply into the fabric of his life. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Robert W. Lewis; brother, Adron Lewis; sister, Marla Sandaval; and grandparents Adron and Dorothy Bell, as well as Howard and Vera Lewis.

Bob’s love of the outdoors brought him great happiness. He loved to fish and camp, with Bull Shoals standing out as his favorite retreat. Fishing on the river provided him with peace and connection to nature’s quiet strength, moments he enjoyed both alone and in the company of loved ones.

Robert Lewis Jr.’s legacy is one of steadfast commitment—to family, to work, and to the joys of life. His memory endures in the hearts of those who knew him and in the laughter and love of the family he held so dear. His life was a remarkable journey marked by unwavering devotion and gentle strength, and he will be deeply missed.
