Bobby (BJ) Dunn, age 72, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026 at the V.A. Rehab Facility Ft. Roots, North Little Rock after a battle with serious health issues.

Born on September 10, 1954, Bobby was a beloved son, brother, and family member whose life will be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Throughout his life, Bobby was fortunate to have the unwavering love and support of his uncle, Fred Landers. More than an uncle, Fred was Bobby’s constant friend, devoted advocate, and steadfast source of encouragement and support. Through life's challenges and changes, Fred remained by his side, offering guidance, compassion, and a reassuring presence. Their special bond was a meaningful part of Bobby’s life and a testament to the enduring strength of family and unconditional love.

Bobby served in the U.S. Army receiving his GED education along with new work skills in transportation. After his military service, Bobby began a successful career in the car and truck sales industry, starting as a salesman to the managership of some of the major automotive dealer lots in Arkansas. BJ became a well-known name in this profession. He was also an over-the-road truck driver for several years. Bobby was always a hard worker in his life. Unfortunately, Bobby (BJ) was introduced to the alcohol and narcotics scene as a salesman in the automotive business. He became addicted to both alcohol and narcotics, which began a life of pain, suffering and loss of employment. However, with the assistance of the Veterans Administration, Ft. Roots, Rehab facility in North Little Rock, AR, Bobby was helped with his addictions. During his final months at the V.A. Rehab facility, Chaplain Jones was instrumental in leading Bobby to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Bobby is survived by his loving sister, Catherine Mack, and her husband, Ron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luia and Joanne Dunn; his brother, Mike Dunn; and his sister, Rebekah Miller. Bobby is also survived by his long-time friend and confidant Sharol Jackson. May he now find eternal peace, reunited with his parents and siblings who passed before him.

Rest in peace, Bobby.
