Bobby Joe Hornaday, age 77 of Malvern died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the St. Joseph Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. He was born Sept 29, 1928 in Gurdon, AR the son of the late Robert Rice and Gladys Myrtle Anderson Hornaday. He was a superintendent for 36 years at the Nelson Gallery of Art in Kansas City, MO in charge of collections. He was active in church serving as Sunday school teacher, superintendent and Deacon. He was member of the Meadow View Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Hornaday and one sister, Mille Beth Hornaday.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nancy York Hornaday; two sons, Barry Brent Hornaday of Malvern and Lyle Craig Hornaday of Independence, MO; three daughters, Regina Kennedy of Malvern, Carol Dawn Bledsoe of North Bend, OR and Jane Hooten of Naylor, GA; two brothers, Leo Hornaday of Eugene, OR and Jack Hornaday of Magnolia; four sisters, Lavonna Collins of Cabot and Donna Sneed of Mt. Vernon, AR, Janice Wheeler of Tuscon, AZ and Mary Byers of Irving, TX; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Meadow Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Ethridge officiating. Interment will be in Magnet Cove Cemetery near Malvern. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. To sign online guest register go to
