Bobby Johnston,
Bobby D. Johnston, 77 of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was retired from the U.S. Army with 23 years of service and also retired from North Little Rock Housing Authority.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 55 years, Inge Johnston of North Little Rock; two sons, Bobby Johnston, Jr. and his wife Donna of Taylor, Arkansas and Terry Johnston of Otto, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jannett and Calvin Norton of Maumelle and Linda and Bill Thomas of Sherwood; two brothers, Bill Johnston of Texas and Lonnie Johnston of Sherwood; one sister, Erkle Jones of Otto, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Sybol Johnston of North Little Rock; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Bobby enjoyed time with his family, reading western books, bird watching and staying up to date with local and world politics. His wealth of knowledge, kindness and unassuming personality will be great missed.
Special thanks to his V.A. Homecare staff, the V.A. Hospital staff and Arkansas Hospice.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
