Mr. Bobby L. Samples, a dedicated employee at Alcoa for many years, passed away at the age of 93 on March 29, 2024. He was born on December 15, 1930, in Benton, Arkansas.
Bobby was a proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force. During his service, he earned both the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal while stationed overseas in England.
Bobby married the love of his life, Sue, on October 23, 1955. Together they raised four daughters in the Salem area and were members of Salem United Methodist Church.
In high school, Bobby was captain of Bryant's first football team, "The 49ers". He remained close with his team mates over the years, and enjoyed meeting them for coffee and catching up. In his older years, Bobby enjoyed gardening, dancing, and spending time with family.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Sue (Redden) Samples; two grandsons Billy and Lonnie Moore; great-grandson Riley Moore; and parents Bill and Lorie Sample.
Bobby will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: daughters: Shannan Moore of Benton, Arkansas; Susan Ledbetter (Steven) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Linda Willmon (Jon) of Benton, Arkansas; and Amy Temple (Brian) of Benton, Arkansas. He is also survived by grandchildren Sarah Atkins (Jeremy), Carley Willmon, and Jacob Temple; great-grandchildren Allison Dempsey (Branson), Autumn Moore, and Keelie Moore; as well as great-great-grandchildren Mylee Dempsey and Laine Dempsey. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Caroline Lee of Arizona.
In remembrance of Bobby's life and legacy, a Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The service will take place at Cameron Cemetery, 8392 Samples Road in Benton, Arkansas.

Mr. Bobby L. Samples leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
