Bonnie Sue Davis, who loved to be called “Momma” or “Nanny / Nana” by her kids and grandkids, departed her loving family on October 13, 2021 at the age of 61. Bonnie was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 2, 1960 to the late Robert Bartlett and Catherine Hopper Bartlett. Bonnie was mother to Danny and Amy. She raised her children with love and devotion along with her late husband Robert ‘Bob’ Davis.
As a home maker and wonderful loving mother, Bonnie was known for her wisdom, patience, kindness, and love for all her family and friends. She was someone who you wanted on your side and standing in your corner. She was one of the strongest women and endured a lot of pain and sorrow in her lifetime, but somehow she continuously managed to remain the rock of our family and the glue that held everything together. Bonnie loved to garden, go to Bingo with her friends, travel to spend time with family and friends, and most of all play with her precious grandbabies, who she adored so much. As her health declined, she continued to spend as much time with her friends and family as possible, as she also enjoyed doing crosswords, journaling, and studying her bible. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents Robert and Catherine Bartlett, her husband Robert Davis, four sisters: Mary Bartlett, Janet Hodshire, Joyce Ann Stout, and Jenny Daniels, two brothers: Douglass Bartlett and Bobby Bartlett.
Bonnie was survived by her son Danny Davis and Jasmine Hillard of Bald Knob, daughter Amy and Gabe Trobis of Beebe, five grandchildren: Bliss, Jason, Braden, Olivia, and Brody, and three great-grandchildren: Bryson, Preston, and Waylon. She was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed.
The family of Bonnie Davis would like to express their sincere “Thank You” to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, cards, and all acts of kindness shown during their loss.
