Brenda Whitley

Brenda Whitley age 67, of Malvern died June 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Brenda was born July 6, 1949 in Hot Springs. She was the wife of Don Whitley, married 47 years, 11 months, and 26 days. Brenda was a member of the Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church and the Caney Baptist Ladies Bible Study Class. Brenda was raised in the Bismark area and attended Bismark High School. She was employed at and AAlf's until she developed cancer 20 years ago. Brenda was a loving wife, Mom, Granny, and sister. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends. She always had a very loving spirit. She never complained about her illness and always had a positive attitude.

Survivors are husband Don Whitley, daughters Linda (Michael) Tillman of Benton, LaDonna (Matt) Loftis of Malvern, and son, Dylan Whitley of Malvern. Brother, Jimmy (Deborah) Jackson of Bismark and Sister, June (Larry) Kelly of Elgin, Oklahoma. Grandchildren are Michelle, Haylee and Autumn Loftis and Rianna and Christian Tillman and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mom, Geraldine Johnston, Grandfather and Grandmother, Frank and Roina Williams.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm Monday, June 5, 2017, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bismark. Donations may be sent to Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay Street, Arkadelphia, Arkansas, 71923 for the services of Brenda Whitely.
The family wants to thank the nursing staff at St. Vincent Hospital and the hospice unit, plus everyone that stayed at the hospital with Brenda.
