Brent Coker

Brent R. Coker, 62 of Little Rock passed from this life on June 27, 2021. He was born January 28, 1959, in Redding, California to the late Carl D. and Mary E. (Taylor) Coker. Brent was a proud veteran and retiree of the United States Air Force and was currently employed with the United States Postal Service. He never met a stranger and was always willing to give all that he had and more. Brent was a man of action. He spent many days and nights taking care of his family, friends, co-workers, or complete strangers. He also had a love of animals, especially Dobermans. If a stray animal was lucky enough to encounter Brent, it was a stray no longer. Mr. Coker loved his family and friends. He enjoyed having get togethers, cooking a meal and enjoying the company of those closest to him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his partner, Gary Gregg in 1994, and his second father, Paul Gregg in 2019.

Left to cherish his memory are sisters, Kathleen Carstons of California, and Cheryl Lewis of Sherwood. Other survivors include his second mother, Barbara Gregg of Jacksonville; dog, Rowdy; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services will be 3:00pm, Monday, July 19, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
