Brian Kelly Davis

Listen to Obituary

Sometime during the morning of October 21, 2025 Brian Kelly Davis took his last breath here on earth. And in that same instant he was transformed into the perfect existence that he’s going to be for eternity, free from all of his earthly afflictions.

Born on August 20, 1972 to Gene and Ginger Davis, Brian is survived by both his father and mother, brothers Eric (Becky) and David (DeAnne). Brian is also survived by his daughter, Sophia Rose, who was both his pride and joy, and the light of his life.

Brian is also survived by two generations of nephews and nieces that will miss his deviled eggs, encouragement of their athletic performances, and humorous Christmas gifts.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Earl and Callie Ware, and his paternal grandparents, Egbert and Marie Davis.

Brian was a career employee of the State of Arkansas Legislative Audit Division, member of Caney Missionary Baptist Church, as well as a graduate of both Ouachita High School and Henderson State University, where he held a degree in accounting. Brian was also a member of the Epsilon Alumni Association of Phi Lambda Chi.

Brian was an incredible father, devoted son, amazing uncle, brother like no other, loyal friend, frustrated golfer, relentless prankster, accomplished hunter, budding movie producer, despondent Razorback and Cowboy fan, and ferocious steward of the public trust. He was Granny Ware’s baby and Granny Davis’ chauffeur. That’s really just the tip of the iceberg.

Brian was a man guided by principle. He made sure every deal was square and he treated everyone the way they should be treated. We are very proud of his achievements. He certainly left his mark.

There’s a huge hole in our family right now that will never be filled as long as we are here on this earth. The Lord’s Grace and the memories built over Brian’s lifetime will sustain us. He’s just gone too soon.
