Brinda Kay Franklin

Brinda Kay Franklin, age 74, of Rosboro, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

She was born on June 3, 1952 in Rosboro. Brinda was the daughter of Albert Franklin and Jessie Chancellor Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Jimmie Franklin, Roland "Windy" Franklin, Joe Franklin, Charles Franklin, Alice PRice, Louise Franklin, and Nancy Franklin.

Brinda taught Kindergarten at Dierks for 33 years. She and her twin sister, Linda, started the program and devoted their lives to educating children. She loved fishing, reading, watching soap operas, and caring for her animals. She coached softball for many years. Most of all she loved her family. Brinda was a loving sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her twin sister, Linda Watts of Rosboro; and several nieces and nephews, including the four she helped raise, Karen Watts, Kaytie Watts Flowers, Danny Watts and Russell Watts; her great-niece and great-nephew she lived with, Elizabeth Flowers and Logan Flowers; and a host of wonderful friends.

Pallbearers will be Russell Watts, Mike Price, Jeff Price, Michael Flowers, Darrell Franklin, and Mike Carpenter.

The family wanted to give a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Tauth and Darla with Chi St. Vincent Home Health. Thank you for loving our Brinda. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood with Russell Watts officiating. 

Interment will be held at Jones Cemetery.
