Britt-Marie Tromater Seymore (1968-2024), a loving and beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, entered eternal life on August 18, in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Britt-Marie was born February 28, 1968, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Raymond and Rebeccah Tromater. As a child, she lived in several places: Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Queens, New York; Kosciusko, Mississippi; Ruston, Louisiana; and Shreveport, Louisiana. When her family settled in Hope, Arkansas, she graduated with high honors from Hope High School. At Hope, Britt-Marie played the clarinet in the award-winning Hope High School marching band and worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor.
Britt-Marie attended the University of Central Arkansas Honors College where in 1990 she earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Psychology. After working for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, she would go on to earn the Master of Social Work degree from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and have a long and successful career in social work and counseling. Which would lead her eventually to her dream job of providing therapy to young children while working for Centers Youth and Families.
Her purpose and joy in her life was her family. On August 19th, 1992, she was secretly married in the Honolulu Court House to Eric Lee Seymore who was currently stationed in Hawaii. In May 1993 Britt-Marie and Eric had their official Church wedding at Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock. This gave them the ability to celebrate their marriage anniversary twice a year. They had five children together during their 32-year marriage. Britt-Marie was a tirelessly devoted wife and mother. She always put the needs and well-being of her family ahead of herself.
Survivors include her husband Maj. Eric Lee Seymore, of the home, children Alexander, Brittany, Maria, Isabella, and Gabriel of Little Rock, parents Raymond and Rebeccah Tromater of Little Rock, and two sisters Lisa (James) Philpot of Springfield, Missouri, and Nancy (Frank) Buercklin of Murphy, Texas. Along with other family members and friends who will greatly miss her kindness, and willingness to selflessly help those who needed help the most in life.
