Bruce Beard
Bruce W. Beard, Sr., 57 of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2009. He was born on February 2, 1952 to Herbert, Jr. and Alice (Tucker) Beard. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock for 47 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Cecil Beard, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Alice (Tucker) Beard; two sons, Bruce W. Beard, Jr. (Shannon), and Eric W. Beard (Katie); two daughters, Lisa Gilbert (Clay), and Rachel Beard; seven grandchildren, Brandan, Bethany, Alyssa, Cassidy, Emily, Hanna, and Jais; two brothers, Jack (Louise) Beard, and Randy (Delaine) Beard.
He worked with his family in the residential construction business, and he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was the youngest of three sons. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, his children, grandchildren, church family, relatives, customers, and many, many more. Heaven?s gain is our loss.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday at First Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
