Bruce W. Norwood

Bruce Norwood, age 75, of Hot Springs, passed away on August 15, 2023.

He was born on March 13, 1948, in Pine Bluff, the son of Gordon Norwood and Nina Wilson Norwood.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Grant Norwood.

Bruce was of the Episcopal faith.  He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas.  He worked for the Rogers School District as Vice-Principal for 27 years until retirement.  He cherished the memory of every minute he spent at Elmwood School and all the teachers and students.  Bruce loved to play golf, go fishing and watch his grandsons’ playing sports.  His greatest pride and joy were in his three daughters, Natalie, Wendy and Suzy.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Deborah Norwood; three daughters, Wendy Norwood Harris and husband, Shane Harris, Suzanne Norwood Kindt and husband, Donald Kindt, and Natalie Rose Norwood; four grandsons, Wylyn Harris, Charter Harris, Cooper Kindt and Porter Kindt; his brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Vicki Norwood; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 228 Spring Street, Hot Springs, AR.
