Bryant Ashley, Sr. 87, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008. He was a pharmacist, business owner, real estate developer and an entrepreneur. He was a member of Levy United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Ashley was a former member of the North Little Rock Water Commission, Memorial Hospital Commission and a charter member of 1st American National Bank.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce Ashley of North Little Rock; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Dr. Bryant Ashley, Jr and Karen, Randy and Sharon Ashley, all of North Little Rock; two brothers, Hugh Ashley of Harrison and J.D. Ashley, Sr. of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Lauren Montgomery and her husband, Blake, Daniel Ashley, Nathan Ashley and Mary Ashley, all of North Little Rock and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene Soup Kitchen, 116 S. Pine, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
