Budd "Buddy" Dorris

Mr. Budd (Buddy) Dorris, 75, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Born on July 9, 1949, in Little Rock, Arkansas, he proudly served as a Vietnam Veteran in the Navy and later built a career in sales and architectural drafting. Buddy was a devoted husband to Karen for 36 years and a loving father to his three children, Clinton (Courtney), Chris (Sara), and Shara. He was also a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and a caring uncle to three nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clint Dorris and mother Martha Dorris, his sister Kay Ison, and his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Moran. Buddy had a heart for helping others and never met a stranger. Whether repairing something, assisting with a project, or simply offering a kind word, he was always ready to lend a hand. He found joy in fishing and was dedicated to his community through his involvement in AA and the twelve-step recovery program.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Hospice Home Care, especially his nurse Melanie and Chaplain Nathan, for their compassionate care.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in his memory.
