Buffy Jo Steadman, 53, of Malvern, Arkansas, gained her wings on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Buffy was a beautiful soul who never met a stranger. She had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and seen. Her laughter and kindness left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
A hardworking woman through and through, Buffy put her heart into everything she did. From her days in cosmetology school to finding her true calling as a beloved budtender at Suite 443, she approached every role with passion and care. She had a creative spirit and found joy in crafting, tending to her plants, and soaking up the sunshine whenever she could. Some of her happiest moments were spent on long car rides with her faithful companion, Jon, simply enjoying life’s little adventures.
Above all else, Buffy was a devoted mother and proud grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and her love for her family was endless.
Her memory is left to be cherished by her children: Abbie Jo (Davon) Polk and Morgan Chase James; her beloved fur baby, Jon; grandchildren, Chloe Jo Polk, Aliza Lei Polk, and Cora Eliana Polk; father, Robert Lee Steadman; brothers, Aaron Sheets, Travis Wilson, Jody Brashear, and Cody Brashear; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly — Breanna, Tristan, Alisha, Chad, Megan, Tyler, Gabriella, Dylan, Silas, Judah, Taeylin, Tammy, Blake, Emily, and Zachary.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Cantwell; sister, Tammy Steadman; and brother, Phillip Steadman.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tyanda Glenn and Buffy’s Suite 443 family for their love, support, and kindness shown to their family during this most difficult time.
Buffy will be remembered for her big heart, her laughter, and the light she brought into the world. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who loved her.
