Bulah Mae Case

Listen to Obituary

Bulah Mae Case, a sweet and loving soul, peacefully passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on August 30, 1928, in Hawes, Arkansas, she lived a long and beautiful life grounded in family, faith, and service to others.

Bulah spent much of her professional life in telecommunications, working as a line manager for AT&T until the company transitioned to Teletype. She retired with deep appreciation for the lasting friendships she formed throughout her career.

Known for her warm hospitality, Bulah’s home was often the heart of family gatherings. Her kitchen was a place where memories were made and bellies were joyfully filled, especially with her famous chicken and dumplings, dressing, and homemade biscuits. She had a way of making loved ones feel welcome with just a simple phone call and the promise of a meal.

Bulah’s life was a quiet testament to strength, grace, and devotion. A Proverbs 31 woman in every sense, she was deeply rooted in her faith and fiercely loved her family. She enjoyed fishing trips and card games with her grandchildren, tending her vegetable garden, and teaching younger generations the art of canning from the produce she grew.

She was a devoted and long-time member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church in Sardis, where her church family held a special place in her heart. Even in her later years, Bulah found purpose in giving, often driving those who couldn’t to church or community gatherings, simply to ensure no one was left behind.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Danny Case; her daughters in love, Margaret Case and Cindy Case; her grandchildren, Stacy Glymp (Jeff), Danny Case Jr. (Dana), Cheryl Bradshaw (Mark), and Natalie Peyton (Gabe); her great-grandchildren, Kyle Glymp (Katie), Laney Glymp, Gunnar Morris, Robert Peyton, Lexie Peyton, Taylor Peyton, and Caylee Bradshaw; and her sister, Betty Stanley. Many other close family and friends will miss her deeply.

Bulah is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Robert Case, her son, David Case, and her siblings: Edward Johnson, Bill Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, and Virginia Hallmark, who preceded her in death. Their arms surely welcomed her home.
