Burton "Burt" Davidson

Burton "Burt" Davidson, age 76, of Amity, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on May 30, 1947, in Amity, the son of Samuel Roscoe Davidson and Camellia Mae Dollar Davidson.  Burt was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie DeLong Davidson on April 24, 2012.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Andrew Mounts; and his siblings, Kenneth Loyd Davidson, Glen Ray Davidson, Roxie Jo Dunn and Sheryl June Davidson.

While working in construction for many years, Burt was given the opportunity to travel the world, working in many different states and even out of the country for a period of time. Through his extensive travels, Burt was able to make many lasting memories that he enjoyed sharing with everyone.  

Burt was an avid outdoorsman, and he especially enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and deer hunting.  His greatest joy in life was sitting on his back porch, drinking coffee and talking to his family and friends. Above all, Burt was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, who loved his family with all his heart.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Burt is survived by his two daughters and one son-in-law, Cynthia Davidson and Sandra and Richard Holt, all of Amity; five grandchildren, Kalob Woodall and his wife, Toriah, Catherine Deaton, and Trenton, Samuel and Xavier Ingram; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Karson, Bow, Dixie, Sebastain and Sylvia; one brother and sister-in-law, R. W. and Wanda Davidson of Amity; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Cordy Smith and Patricia and Landon Wilson, all of Amity; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 13, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Terry Palmer officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the services in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Garrett, Sr., Terry Palmer, Dean Palmer, Steve Davis, Maurice Hancock, Samuel Ingram, Todd Samuels, Randy Palmer and Larry Lewis.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Burt to the Friendship Cemetery Association Fund, Amity.
