Listen to Obituary

Calek Trey Kersey, age 19, of Caddo Gap, Arkansas, passed away on June 14, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. A fun-loving young man with a heart full of kindness, Calek loved the outdoors — hunting, fishing, and time on the water brought him joy.

A talented athlete, he especially loved baseball and also excelled in basketball and track and field. He graduated from Caddo Hills High School in 2023. Calek had just begun a new career as an electrical apprentice with Welco Electric — a path he was proud of and passionate about. His coworkers spoke of the incredible impression he left on everyone at the job site.

A member of Grace Baptist Church in Glenwood, Arkansas, Calek was the first to be baptized in the new church building at age 6. His faith was strong, and his love for his family and friends even stronger.

Calek is survived by his parents, Matthew and Alisha Kersey, and Jessica Robbins and Cole Beebe; two beloved brothers, Brody Beebe and Axel Kersey; his grandparents, Tim and Becky Robbins and Chris Kersey; his great-grandparents, Bill and Mary Kersey and Terry and Kay Adams; and many others who held him dear.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Denise Howard; his great-grandparents, Betty Radcliff, Henry and Reatha Robbins, and Willis and Eunice Magby; along with loved ones whose memories he cherished deeply.

Calek’s vibrant spirit, bright smile, and joyful laughter will live on in all who knew and loved him.

The family will be holding a memorial service Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. James Owens officiating.
