Carl J. Burris age 75 of Caney, AR died Thursday in Malvern. He was born September 11, 1934 the son of Elmer J. and Pearl Simonds Burris. He was retired from Reynolds Metals and a Baptist . He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Haskil Burris.
Survivors include three brothers, Charles and Leon Burris of Donaldson and Hansel Burris of Malvern, two sisters, Juanita Whitley and Melva Boyett both of Malvern a special friend, Alene Ledbetter of Bismarck and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Cossey and Rev. Robert Newton officiating. Burial will be in the DeRoche Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the DeRoche Cemetery Fund, c/o/ Elster Allen, 1992 Allen Rd, Bismarck, AR 71929.
