Carl Lee Hardage, age 79, of Bismarck passed away Friday, August 9, 2024. He was born November 25, 1944 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the late Carmie Lee and Effie Clara (Keeton) Hardage. He was a deacon, church clerk, and Sunday School teacher at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. Carl was also on the DeRoche Cemetery Committee. While working as a banker for 42 years, he graduated with an associate’s degree in banking from LSU. However, he enjoyed farming his entire life. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Hardage; and baby son, Robbie Lee Hardage.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Barbara (Diffee) Hardage of Bismarck; sons, Tony (Durenda) Hardage and Shan (Tanya) Hardage, both of Bismarck; daughter, Alesha (Jeremy) Norris of Bismarck; grandchildren, Jansen (Reagan) Hardage, Samantha Hardage, Sawyer (Anna Grace) Hardage, Bridgette Hardage, Shannon Michael (Jessica) Hardage, Jonathan Hardage, Carlye (Wyatt) Bowden, Makenna Norris, and Ellie Norris; great-grandchildren, Hunter Hardage, Stefan Hardage, Gigi Hardage, Susie Hardage, and Lilah Bowden; and one great-granddaughter on the way.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church in Bismarck. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Chris Morrison and Brother Alan Cansler officiating. Burial will follow at DeRoche Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jansen Hardage, Sawyer Hardage, Shannon Michael Hardage, Jonathan Hardage, Wyatt Bowden, and James Kegley, Jr. Memorials may be made to the DeRoche Building Fund. The family would like to thank Elite Hospice for their excellent care.
